We keep travelling Latgali!

This time our destination will be Ludza county.

Let us start with Salnavas parish, where we will be warmly welcomed by Annasmuge's tea and the village of the Muzicant

There we will be able to familiarise ourselves with wild-growing and cultivated herbs, to taste in the quiet of the herbal tea fields and to explore the effects of the teas on the organism, and to familiarize ourselves with the musicians of the “Shades Village” in fun activities with the rich Latgalian folk songs and the polka dowry.

After the musical entertainment, we'll go to the Kārsava Cultural History Center, Lichtenstein Homes.

At the centre of the cultural history, “Lichtenstein Houses” is a permanent exhibition that leads the visitor through the most important points of the landscape in the fate of Carsava and its surroundings. Archaeology, manor development, the impact of railway construction, market traditions, the pre-war thriving city, some of the stops through which the visitor will be much better able to figure out what Carmis is and what people in this place are.

After learning Carsavh's history, as time would be for a little rest, too! Entertainment and history will be arranged for us by the Latgolys shmakovkys depot.

The “latgolys shmakovkys” depot is located in the historic area of Malnava Manor, which is like an oasis for daily haste, where peaceful walks can be allowed in the ancient Manor Park. The owner of the decoration, Janis Krivtege, offers visitors a knowing narrative about the history of Malnava's manor, the traditions of shmakovka brewing, and will offer to watch the Latgolys šmakovkys process and a tasting of the custom-based fortified beverage in the near future.
